The Shift Supervisor plays a key role in supporting daily store operations while delivering the exceptional guest experience that defines the MilkShake Factory brand. This position is responsible for leading team members during assigned shifts, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining brand standards, and supporting a positive, high-performing store culture.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, passionate about guest service, and capable of leading by example in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations during assigned shifts to ensure smooth and efficient execution.
- Uphold MilkShake Factory brand standards across people, processes, products, and guest experience.
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members while providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by ensuring quality, hospitality, and speed of service.
- Monitor product preparation and presentation to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and team members.
- Assist with inventory management, stocking, product rotation, and supply organization.
- Minimize waste through proper product handling and operational practices.
- Follow cash handling procedures and maintain accountability for financial transactions.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
- Communicate effectively with store management regarding operational issues, staffing needs, and performance opportunities.
- Support achievement of store goals related to sales, operations, profitability, and team development.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and daily retail or restaurant operations.
- Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Guest-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and productive during busy periods.
- Basic proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and transaction procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant, food service, or retail experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
